octahedron

is a pretty good album, certainly not the best from The Mars Volta. There is always one very calm song on every Mars Volta album and this is like all those calm songs put in one album. The songs are what you expect from The Mars Volta but they are toned down. My only problem with this album was the lack of drums because Thomas Pridgen is a fantastic drummer (not as good as Jon Theodore but still good). If it included more percussion it would've been better but other than that its a good listen.

lil wayne playing drums on Rebirth?!

I doubt it, This isnt Weezy. In fact he's better than weezy, Thomas Pridgen is the name get to know him. His improv drumming is madd bomb! Seen him twice he owns the drumset I want! He might now be as good as Jon Theodore but he's keeping up with TMV.

I look up to this dude.

Jon Theodore is the shit at drumming. BOMBASTIC SHIT!
Wish he stayed in the mars volta he tore shit up!

nuevo.

1 of 3000
When my sis came back from Coachella she brought me this record, I was amazed by just how cool the cover looked. I am a huge At the Drive-in fan actually At the Drive-in is my favorite band of all time, I'm also a big Mars Volta (I've seen them twice), but never have I heard of El Grupo Nuevo De Omar Rodriguez Lopez. This was completely new to me. I have two of Omar's many solo records (one of them is under Stone Throw Records) but this record was unheard of. I have yet to hear the record due to the fact that I dont own a record player and I still havent downloaded it online cuz im lazy. Anyways only 3000 records were pressed and im glad I own one of em. Stay tuned for the review:)
