Feel robbed of your xmas happiness?

so do I,
Lupe's mixtape didnt drop,
&
neither did Jay Elec's Act II.
No word on Lupe's mixtape I just know he's upset about the recent leaks, and Just Blaze announced on twitter that Act II is going to drop on new years (lets hope).

Nickelus F & Portishead - R.A.R.E.

R.A.R.E. (Reliving A Real Experience) is the latest and most introspective project from Richmond, VA artist Nickelus F. It’s a passion project that delves into Nick’s thoughts about his career, life & music.

Nickelus F gives new life to Portishead’s classic material on this project without taking away from the original mean and sound of Portishead’s production and lyrics.

R.A.R.E. (Reliving A Real Experience) is also a lead into more original work with Portishead that will surface in Fall/Winter 2009. Nickelus F & his band Silverust are working on music with Portishead front man Geoff Borrow that will be released in the UK and of course can be found online.

props to NahRight!

freshhh

You need to cop The Death of Adam by 88-keys!
Not many hip hop albums have story lines but TDoA does and its actually good!
88-keys is one of my favorite producers (he made the beat for Thieves In The Night!).
If your cheap download his mixtape 'Adam's Case Files'
Check out his blog @ polo67life.com
And his twitter page @ eightocho

has me at tears...

Every time I listen to Bria's Interlude from So Far Gone ;). This song is madd good that's all I have to say. So Far Gone is a great mixtape and Bria's Interlude is only the tip of the iceberg there's 16 other great tracks! Its all free the chopped & Screwed version is just as good. I still cant get over the fact that he's Jimmy from Degrassi.

best mixtape of 09 so far!

Blu has to be one of the best up and coming emcees. Actually hes one of my favorite, he's an amazing lyricist and he's a pretty good producer (This mixtape is self produced).
This came out on Valentine Ive been listening to it ever since, the samples are great (Billy Holiday is sampled) and so are the instrumentals. You should not overlook blu, makes me proud to be from the west!
Props to ILLROOTS!
