More posthumous music,
I was listening to Tupac earlier today and realised he dissed more rappers than the ones that were mentioned on the infamous Hit em up, I didnt even know he had beef with Jay-Z and Nas. He even dissed De La Soul which is pretty crazy. Either way Tupac is the very first rapper I ever listened to and he's still one of my favorites. Here's some unreleased music.Saturday, July 25, 2009

OJ Simpson is guilty and MAD,
Download Coroners Music! The charisma that Detroit’s heavy hitting MC Guilty Simpson and the Los Angeles based Beat Konducta Madlib share is undeniable. A string of songs going back to Guilty’s first appearance on wax (Jaylib’s “Strapped”) testify to a musical kinship that is rare in today’s rapper-as-an-accessory marketplace. To us, Guilty over a Madlib beat is like hearing Guru over Premier circa Daily Operation, or CL over Pete around the time they recorded “Straighten It Out.” Some times, a rapper and a producer just work well together.
The two together making OJ Simpson, Madlib (Otis Jackson) and Guilty Simpson. OJ Simpson is the name of the album. No, you won’t hear Guilty make any references to bloody gloves. No, you won’t catch Madlib driving a bronco. These are some 14 hard hitting, straight from the gutter hip hop tracks featuring Guilty’s inimitable baritone and a couple guest appearances (Elzhi, Strong Arm Steady). Some cuts by J.Rocc. And a whole bunch of attitude. This is one of our favorite projects in a while.
We’re releasing this teaser single – the title track and the needs-nothing-more-than-the-title verbal onslaight that is “Coroner’s Music” - to remind you of the hip hop you’ve missed. The album drops this fall.
props to nahright!

octahedron
is a pretty good album, certainly not the best from The Mars Volta. There is always one very calm song on every Mars Volta album and this is like all those calm songs put in one album. The songs are what you expect from The Mars Volta but they are toned down. My only problem with this album was the lack of drums because Thomas Pridgen is a fantastic drummer (not as good as Jon Theodore but still good). If it included more percussion it would've been better but other than that its a good listen.
I need some of these,
Vans’ desert boot-inspired Cojo has returned for Summer 2009. With an ultra soft upper and crepe sole, the Cojo offers a much different aesthetic than your average Vans silhouette. With a renewable charcoal lining, these are some of Vans most eco-friendly kicks. The latest drop features brown suede and tan herringbone colorups. Available now at Huf.
