Feel robbed of your xmas happiness?

so do I,
Lupe's mixtape didnt drop,
&
neither did Jay Elec's Act II.
No word on Lupe's mixtape I just know he's upset about the recent leaks, and Just Blaze announced on twitter that Act II is going to drop on new years (lets hope).

only Gucci Mane song I kinda like

Devin the Dude>

by the way,

download the new Slum Village EP off itunes dont be a cheap mofo and download it off limewire and/or bittorrent. Support good music without you we are stuck with the trash on the radio. Anyways the new Slum Village LP contains production from Pete Rock, BR Gunna, Madlib, and of course James Yancey. To add to the anticipation it will contain unreleased J Dilla beats and verses, maybe some singing.

RZA&theBlackKeys=Blakroc

Where's Pharoah Monch?
Diggin the tambourine to hi hat.
We was like Mork&Mindy.

The worst is finally over,

Im done with my first semester of junior year, thank god. I cant wait till I graduate and leave high school. seriously if these are meant to be the best years of my life im headed for disaster, but on a positive note I might be getting a drumset, Ive wanted one for years and finally my wish is coming true. My birthday is in 6 days and im actually not excited like I usually am, maybe because meth&rae&GFK's album got pushed back to 2010 and it was originally going to drop on my birthday. No big, im excited for a new year and my mazda6:)

some bullshit!

Its on with Alexa Chung just got canceled for re-runs of Jersey Shore, The only good thing on MTV is gonee.

listen to

BlakRoc
its the only good hip-hop/rock project.
I really doubted the project until I heard it and let me tell you its an amazing album even though it features Jim Jones (I'm not the biggest fan of his work but he holds it down on this album pretty well). The Black Keys are such a great band alone and the features on this album are great (Raekwon, RZA, Mos Def, Q-Tip, ODB & more).
Check it out its worth a listen, I can even list it as one of the best releases of '09.

amazing collab Go Brooklyn!

Mos Def & Talib Kweli performing History off of Mos Def's The Ecstatic. I liked how they re did Dilla's beat by using the dirty projectors (a really good indie band from Brooklyn) it was totally unexpected but I loved it!

George Harrison's son & John Frusciante (from RHCP & The Mars Volta) collaborated with Wu Tang to make this song. Rae, Ghost, Meth blend so well together switching off verses cant wait for The Wu-Massacre which isn't coming out on my birthday any more now its coming out sometime in February 2010

R.I.P. Titus Glover (Baatin)

I really wish his album wouldve seen the light of day.

Dr. Octagon

Kool Keith & Dan the Automator
I found this comment while watching this vid, and it stuck out.
Oh my God. I didnt even know Kool Keith had a video for this bangin as song! Man, I used to get put out of my homeboys car for tryin to make him listen to this upper-level type hip hop shit! He wanted to stay in the garbage can with Puff Daddy, Mase and other bums like that. His daughter just got suspended from school for dancing the "stanky leg" on a cafeteria table during lunch period. coincidence? I think not. Ignorance is genetic sometimes. - Mrwesdaddy

The good news I found out today is

that Radiohead is going to record a new album this winter. Ive been listening to In Rainbows since its pay as you like days. To this day the album is still good with repeated listens, It has yet to be taken out of my Mazda's stereo. Hopefully this new album will be just as good, don't let me down Thom. It might be released on vinyl which makes me happy because I didn't buy a record player for no reason.

Monsters of Folk = GENIUS

By far my favorite album of the year, sorry rae,
There is no reason you shouldnt listen to this album,
Its just too good plain and simple,
They are the traveling wilburys of our generation,
Conor Oberst, Mike Mogis, M. Ward, Yim Yames are Monsters of Folk.

RIP Ason Jones

The song that made my jaw drop, and made me tear up a little. This is Raekwon's ODB tribute song so emotional and touching, I wish he couldve lived to be on OB4CL2. The fact that its over a Dilla beat just adds to the sadness.
The Dilla beat is the intro from Jay Love Japan.

...

This song brings back so many memories. The nights I used to watch The O.C. and talk endlessly to my 1st true love about it. Now that I listen to this song it kinda bums me out but at the same time it gives me a great feeling, isn't that what great music is supposed to be like?

My first paycheck will be spent on a pair of Lanvins,

Lanvin’s classic high-top sneaker is available in a warm jersey fabric for Fall/Winter 2009. The warmer fabric and “all-black everything” makes this one a solid choice for the impending cold. Equipped with the usual Lanvin rubber sole, metal eyelets, and calf skin lining. Now available atAloha Rag.

R.I.P. Titus Glover (Baatin)

When I woke up this morning and checked the tweets on my phone I read Dwele's tweet about Baatin being dead and then it was confirmed by 9th wonder and all the other hiphop sites. Today was already a sad day to me because its been a year since my aunt died and my aunt was the reason I found out about hip hop because she listened to Snoop Dogg and I remember one time I was in her car and she was listening to Kanye West that was when I truly started to like hip hop through Kanye I found out about Slum Village because he was featured on the song Selfish. Well one thing led to another and I found out about Dilla and instantly I was a fan of SV which was originally T3, Jay Dee, and Baatin. As a society we need to appreciate people while they are alive and I really cant stress that enough.
