OJ Simpson is guilty and MAD,

Download Coroners Music!

The charisma that Detroit’s heavy hitting MC Guilty Simpson and the Los Angeles based Beat Konducta Madlib share is undeniable. A string of songs going back to Guilty’s first appearance on wax (Jaylib’s “Strapped”) testify to a musical kinship that is rare in today’s rapper-as-an-accessory marketplace. To us, Guilty over a Madlib beat is like hearing Guru over Premier circa Daily Operation, or CL over Pete around the time they recorded “Straighten It Out.” Some times, a rapper and a producer just work well together.

The two together making OJ Simpson, Madlib (Otis Jackson) and Guilty Simpson. OJ Simpson is the name of the album. No, you won’t hear Guilty make any references to bloody gloves. No, you won’t catch Madlib driving a bronco. These are some 14 hard hitting, straight from the gutter hip hop tracks featuring Guilty’s inimitable baritone and a couple guest appearances (Elzhi, Strong Arm Steady). Some cuts by J.Rocc. And a whole bunch of attitude. This is one of our favorite projects in a while.

We’re releasing this teaser single – the title track and the needs-nothing-more-than-the-title verbal onslaight that is “Coroner’s Music” - to remind you of the hip hop you’ve missed. The album drops this fall.

props to nahright!

"Stress", a track from Guilty Simpson’s unfinished album with J Dilla. Guilty Simpson writes:
"I recorded quite a few track a few tracks with Dilla when he was alive:Man’s World (released on white label 12-inch)Clap Ya Hands (released on Chrome Children LP)Make It Fast (released on Peanut Butter Wolf’s B-Ball Zombie War)I Must Love You (released on Ode to the Ghetto)Stress (white label 12-inch)Baby (released on The Shining)Take Notice (released on Ruff Draft CD re-issue)and quite a few cuts that have yet to be found since his passing that I would have loved to put out, but they’ve yet to be found."
"Stress" (vocal & instrumental) white label 12-inch is out at fatbeats.com, dustygroove.com, accesshiphop.com, undergroundhiphop.com and probably a lot of other spots.

A whole album with Dilla & Guilty Simpson would be the best but sadly there isnt :( but heres a new dilla track, I love this!

2 best albums of 08!

Why do I love music from the D?
Because of the great emcees and producers that come from there.
The Preface & The Tronic were hands down my favorite releases of '08,
both albums were produced by Black Milk (a great producer I love his drums!).
Both of these guys are affiliated with Slum Village so you knows its all good music.
eLZhi is on my top 5 Dead or Alive MCs, every bar on The Preface is FIRE! best lyricism ive heard in soo long! The Tronic is just as great! The production on both albums is amzn!
Favorite Tracks: Save Ya feat. T3, Talking In My Sleep, Losing Out feat. Royce da 5'9", The Matrix feat. Pharoah Monch, Sean Price, DJ Premier
