Happy Birthday Titus Glover

Download The Eternal Mixtape (RIP Baatin),
I already listened to it, love how it started off with SV's Fall In Love.

by the way,

download the new Slum Village EP off itunes dont be a cheap mofo and download it off limewire and/or bittorrent. Support good music without you we are stuck with the trash on the radio. Anyways the new Slum Village LP contains production from Pete Rock, BR Gunna, Madlib, and of course James Yancey. To add to the anticipation it will contain unreleased J Dilla beats and verses, maybe some singing.

SV pays tribute to Baatin

R.I.P. Titus Glover (Baatin)

When I woke up this morning and checked the tweets on my phone I read Dwele's tweet about Baatin being dead and then it was confirmed by 9th wonder and all the other hiphop sites. Today was already a sad day to me because its been a year since my aunt died and my aunt was the reason I found out about hip hop because she listened to Snoop Dogg and I remember one time I was in her car and she was listening to Kanye West that was when I truly started to like hip hop through Kanye I found out about Slum Village because he was featured on the song Selfish. Well one thing led to another and I found out about Dilla and instantly I was a fan of SV which was originally T3, Jay Dee, and Baatin. As a society we need to appreciate people while they are alive and I really cant stress that enough.

New Slum Village!:)

2 best albums of 08!

Why do I love music from the D?

Because of the great emcees and producers that come from there.

The Preface & The Tronic were hands down my favorite releases of '08,

both albums were produced by Black Milk (a great producer I love his drums!).

Both of these guys are affiliated with Slum Village so you knows its all good music.

eLZhi is on my top 5 Dead or Alive MCs, every bar on The Preface is FIRE! best lyricism ive heard in soo long! The Tronic is just as great! The production on both albums is amzn!

Favorite Tracks: Save Ya feat. T3, Talking In My Sleep, Losing Out feat. Royce da 5'9", The Matrix feat. Pharoah Monch, Sean Price, DJ Premier
